Dr. Anderson is a clinical translational research scientist. She joined the faculty of ASU in August 2011 from the Cancer Vaccine Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In addition to her primary appointment at the Biodesign Institute at ASU, she has a joint appointment with the Mayo Clinic Arizona as a medical oncologist with a specialization in breast cancer.

Her research focuses on the development of immunodiagnostics and immunotherapies for cancer. Effective cancer immunotherapy relies on specific activation of multiple arms of the immune system, while limiting pro-tumorigenic inflammatory signals. Her laboratory uses a combination of high-throughput genomic, proteomic and functional genomics approaches for the detection of cancer-specific antigens and immune stimulation. The Anderson Lab has developed specific immune-based biomarkers for the early detection of breast, ovarian, and HPV-associated cancers.
